Where does childhood stress come from?

I just came across this article. It makes some strong claims.

“According to a study by New York University49% of kids report chronic school-related stress, and 26% report symptoms of depression. Video games and social media often get blamed, but experts increasingly believe the soaring rates of childhood mental health disorders may have roots in the classroom.”

Read the short article, and watch the 8-minute video on that page. They explain what’s going on. They also have some good ideas. But they can’t cover all the possibilities in that short time.
