Thanks for your support and interest in EdOpt during our inaugural year!
We started our organization in April. In July our website was ready and we got 501c3 status. We hosted or co-hosted 5 expos around the state in August and December. We have a rich set of education choices in New Hampshire, and that number is growing. But families have to know about them in order to use them.Β Β
Our surveys say that people had good experiences at the expos. We hope that each family was exposed to something new. Thank you to the vendors who participated, taking the time out of their busy days to support this important effort. It was our first year, and we’re learning a lot. Next year’s expos will be even more successful.
If you weren’t able to attend the expos, I invite you to look at our website, and to contact us if you want some guidance.
In the new year, we’ll be planning our 2025 expos, including at least one in the Lakes region. To reach more families, we’ll ask education providers to share the expo announcements with their communities — then those communities can crosshatch. We have some other ideas, too.
We’ll also focus on improving the website to make it easier to find providers in your area. Stay tuned!
We have the luck and the luxury of having an amazing group of (mostly) volunteers without whom we couldn’t do what we’re doing. I’ve never worked with such a group, that stepped up and did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. I am grateful to them all! In addition to our leadership team and other friends and colleagues, I want to call out our expo organizers, each of whom did an outstanding job — Amy Badurina, Valerie Kihslinger, Staci Webb (North Country), Rachel Maidment (Peterborough), and Rachel Goldsmith and Mari Fontaine (Manchester)!
We already posted pix from the North Country expo. Here are some pix from Manchester and Peterborough, which both took place last week.

Kudos to Matt and Mike for cleaning up all the dead and misplaced provider links on our website! If anyone finds anything amiss, please let us know so we can fix it.
Please comment on this post to let us know about your good expo experiences.
Happy holidays to all, however you celebrate. πΎππ

Thanks for sharing. I read many of your blog posts, cool, your blog is very good.
I don’t think the title of your article matches the content lol. Just kidding, mainly because I had some doubts after reading the article.
