Kevin Tyson and I were guests on the Steve Smith Podcast on Aug 5, 2024. In a half hour or so, we talked about EdOpt, our mission, some education options, and our then upcoming expos. It was a great conversation. Take a listen!
We had our first expo in Newport on Aug 10 to support the Upper Valley, and wouldn’t you know it? A few families showed up who aren’t from the UV! No matter, we had exhibitors from other parts of the state, and all the families learned new things. It was a great expo, and we’re looking forward to our next one.
The next expo will also be in Newport, on Wednesday, August 28, from 6-7:30pm. It will also be in the beautiful 3rd floor ballroom of the Richards Free Library.
Exhibitors will include NH Commissioner of Education Frank Edelblut, representatives from the Children’s Scholarship Fund, local homeschool families, Micah Studios (a learning center in Newport), Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, Miss Mo who runs activities at the library that homeschool families regularly attend, and more. EdOpt will have a table there to walk you through our offerings and answer any questions you have about how schooling works in NH and what all your options are.
We also got our 501(c)(3) status, which means your donations to EdOpt are now tax deductible. Please donate what you can to help us reach families around New Hampshire.
Please share this post with your friends.
![]() | EdOpt‘s mission is to provide information, support, and connections to families who want to explore New Hampshire’s rich education options. To do this, we hold expos in different regions around the state, connect people to the resources that will help them, and support families in their efforts to educate their children. |
