Nat’l School Choice Week was a hit

National School Choice Week was celebrated all over the country, including here in New Hampshire.

National School Choice Week isn’t just about policy OR education freedom accounts — it’s about real people finding and creating schools and learning spaces where children thrive. In NH, it includes open enrollment, tax credit scholarships, town tuitioning, innovation schools, private schools, charter schools, and Learn Everywhere. Check out our website, or reply to this email or write to me at the email address below to find out more.

And now, on to our Fairs!

A snowstorm turned our Claremont Fair to a virtual format on Monday Jan 26, 2026. Ten different education providers were there, along with a few families.

We had breakout rooms for each education provider. This allowed for personal discussions about each family’s needs. Families took advantage of it! The providers also took the opportunity to network with each other.

All in all, it was a good experience for everyone. We hope to improve the format and do more of these virtual fairs — when we can plan for it.

Then came the Dummer Fair on Wednesday Jan 28. All the providers offered homeschool groups and activities. Quite a few families with children showed up looking for exactly the types of providers who were there. Great conversations were had by all.

Finally, the Dover Fair took place on Thursday Jan 29. Some education providers signed up after my last post. You never know who’s going to show up to these fairs! Again, there was a decent turnout of families with great conversations all around.

These Fairs were generously supported by the National School Choice Awareness Foundation.

Hope to see you at an EdOpt Fair this spring!

Spring Fairs

We’re starting to plan EdOpt Fairs for the spring. Look for fairs in Moultonborough, Candia, Goffstown, and other places. Let us know if you want to organize one in your area!

Let your friends know about these fairs. Word of mouth is the best way to advertise. Follow us and share our events and posts on FacebookInstagram, and X.

Media Appearances

Learn more about EdOpt through our media appearances. These are interviews or presentations that were recorded. Some are videos, and some are audio from radio interviews.

Please share them with your friends. Help us spread the word that you have options.

EdOpt’s Goals

EdOpt’s aim is to help families understand all their education options, from non-traditional (homeschooling, homeschool co-ops, microschools) to traditional (charter schools, private schools, tech centers, dual enrollment, learn everywhere). Our website lists the education providers options around the state that we know about (please let us know if we’re missing any!) so you can investigate the ones that you’re interested in. EdOpt also provides guidance to help you understand your options. Set up a FREE Education Options consultation today.
